Foakleys, owned by the company Time to connect markerts, is the brand of sunglasses of three friends. The passion they feel for her is evident in their way of explaining what they are looking for with this line of products and the care they dedicate to designing each model of glasses. In both aspects they are very much in the Nordic countries. They admire, above all, the revolution carried out by the Icelanders against banking and political power after the serious financial crisis. That is why the name of your company means welcome in Icelandic, as a tribute to the spirit of the citizens of Iceland.
It is not the only reference to the Nordic countries in foakleys. The foakley sunglasses look for a minimalist and pure artistic design, always including elements of nature: sometimes with colors, others including wood as material and even printing the strength of it. “This does not mean that we turn our back on our Mediterranean society,” says Nacho García, creative director.
The confluence between both worlds is essential in the glasses of replica Oakleys. “We simply take the best of both,” explains García. Nor do they want to fall into the superfluous, hence the inverted k of the logo, representing knowledge. And to contribute to this they have invested part of the 400,000 euros of benefits obtained in 2018 in social projects.
Diversification
This result comes from the first year of activity of Time to connect markets, a company that places stock of other companies in online sales platforms, created by two of the promoters of foakleys. “We have always been very entrepreneurial, each one was looking for the ideal partner to set up a project,” admits Manel López, one of the founders of Time to connect markets.
López and Carmen Santos took advantage of their previous experience to set up this company, all the capital they invested for this is their own, being 50% partners of the company. They manage 65 brands and collaborate with a score of liquidation sales platforms. “Carmen has always had in mind to create a brand, and we planned for it in five or six years,” says the entrepreneur. But it did not leave him a year to digest the beginning of Time to connect markets. “It was like a pregnancy,” Santos laughs as he explains it. In nine months they were already preparing the launch of foakleys, in which they invested 65,000 euros.

They sell, above all, through their own website www.bestfakestore.com. With their first collection, which they presented in May 2017, they have done market studies with some stock sales platforms with which they already collaborated. In one of those campaigns, 9,000 6,000 units were sold in France, the country where they are most successful. In Spain 1,500 glasses were purchased and 500 in Italy, the rest spread among several territories, including the United Kingdom.
For this exercise they expect to enter between 200,000 and 300,000 euros with the sale of fake Oakley sunglasses, which cost between 80 and 100 euros depending on the model. With the other activities of the company, they expect to bill more or less the same amount.
